Your WUNDERSHED is designed to be used in numerous ways. Home Offices, Guest Rooms, Music/Art Studios, Yoga Studio`s, Man Caves, Home Gyms, Storage, Workshop, Pool House, or simply a Garden Room. As you can see, the uses are endless! What would you do with more room?

How long will it take to install my Wundershed?

Depending on the model chosen: From order to install it is approximately 4 to 6 weeks. Additional time must be considered for shipping and delivery depending on your location. Initial installation is rapid, and should take no more than 1-3 days with additional time for finishes or customizations.

What are the Dimensions?

Due to the highly customizable nature of our design the details below should be considered guidelines. 
The typical “No Permit” WUNDERSHED is 12ft Wide X 9ft Deep X 10ft High
Customized builds are variable in length, width and height to accommodate your desires and compliance with local zoning.

Do I need a Building Permit?

For any WUNDERSHED under 108 Sq Ft, no building permit is required in the GTA.
All larger models require permitting to comply with local zoning. 
As local zoning bylaws limit what you can do on your property, we advise all clients to check their local bylaws or use our Permitting Services to navigate the process. 

How is Wundershed shipped?

We deliver your Wundershed direct to your site via delivery truck. The WUNDERSHED is prefabricated, flat packed and assembled onsite. Delivery within the GTA is included in the price.
For locations outside of the GTA please contact us directly. 

How much does Wundershed cost?

We are proud that a basic WUNDERSHED can start at $135 per sqft. Due to the option packages our prices vary proportionality to your option choices.
Other factors include more complex foundation systems and location constraints. 

What type of foundation systems are used?

The foundation system used is dependent on site conditions. 

In most circumstances our Rapid Foundation system can be used. This system go above and beyond a conventional slab foundation and are immune to ice and thaw, and provide you with a significant cost saving opportunity. 
Alternative solutions are Concrete Slabs,
Sonotubes or Helical Screw Piles for more complex foundational needs.

Is there a Warranty?

All of our products are covered with a 3 year limited warranty. Please refer to your purchase documentation for exemptions.

How much does WunderShed weigh?

WunderShed without cladding and materials the structure weighs about 2048lbs. (928 kg) 
Model weights vary by size due to customization but a broad guideline is about 22lbs/sqft.

What are the R Values?

Thanks to our construction materials: 
Walls: R24, Ceiling: R37,  Floor: R37.
Higher R Values are available for an additional cost but can be deemed unnecessary due to the high thermal performance and airtight nature of our outdoor rooms.

Should I be concerned about Snow loads?

Our materials were strategically chosen for their strength and durability. Our engineerd roof system exceeds current standards.

What type of roof finishing does it have? 

All our roof systems begin with an impermeable waterproof membrane. In addition to that our anodized steel system includes additional water proofing elements. 

What is a SIP?

Structurally Insulated Panels, have a long history in building. Invented in the 1930’s and used extensively by the venerable architect Frank Lloyd Wright these mighty structures, were introduced to the public in a presentation that involved an elephant, standing on SIP to show off just how strong they were. In addition to their strength, the panels are extremely efficient, with high insulation values coming with a R24 rating out of the factory, forming an air tight building envelope. Other added benefits are reduced construction time, labour, and energy costs thus saving the customer money. The punchline is SIP's are highly durable and last indefinitely.

Is Wundershed Insulated?

Yes! Thanks to our SIP technology, we can boast about the thermal performance of our extremely air-tight and well insulated structure! This enables you to use it in the summer as easily as you would in the winter.

Will Wundershed rot or leak?

WUNDERSHED is specially constructed to avoid leakage. The interior and exterior are specifically designed to protect and ventilate the structure.

How can I heat my space? 

Due to WUNDERSHED's insulation and size minimal heat sources are required to warm the space.
Our heating options are all sufficient to heat your space.

How can I cool my space? 

Great insulation works both ways and helps maintain a cool and consistent temperature inside the shed.
For larger models we suggest the ductless mini split for complete climate control. 

Passive cooling can be achieved through strategic placement of windows and doors, in conjunction with site conditions.

Ventilation

In an air tight structure achieving ventilation is important to your comfort. Regular use of the windows and sliding doors will help exchange the air and keep the room fresh.
To help facilitate this air exchangers are available in our option packages.

Can I upgrade the interior/ exterior in the future? 

Yes! Our building system is designed to last for decades and can grow and change with your desires.

NO PERMIT

No building permit necessary in the GTA. Meaning you can get your WunderShed sooner. For our other models we can help facilitate your permit. 

Plumbing

WUNDERSHED is primarily an extension of the existing home. To reduce the cost and maximize space plumbing is not included.
This option is sensible for larger custom installations.

What plumbing options are available?

Our plumbing packages range from a basic option requiring a water line hook up to the more complex connection to a water main.
This allows for the installation of a sink, or shower.
On-Demand hot and cold water can be provided with the optional tankless water heater.

Can I install a toilet?

This is possible without our plumbing package.  To remedy this; electric toilets may be installed as an option. This provides the convenience of a toilet, and allows waste to be disposed on site.
